My Story

I've known that I wanted to be a writer for years, but, for some reason, that dream always felt out of reach. I've spent years pouring my heart into academic pieces written in high school and college. While it was great receiving good grades (I will never shut up about graduating with honors, be warned), I was never truly satisfied. I never got to write about the topics I love.

 

My loved ones have constantly advised me to "just do it," so, here I am! I have so much to learn about myself and the world surrounding me, and I want to share my journey.

 

I want to create a space in which I can accept myself and my ever-evolving authenticity. I'm still in my early 20s, and I've learned a lot, but I know that I have a lot more to learn. I have a lot more to experience, a lot more to feel, a lot more to succeed, and a lot more to fail. So, while on this inevitable ride, I've chosen to document my thoughts in hopes that someone will relate. Thus, I created Simply Chasney. Internal monologue: I'll have to re-brand soon, as I'm coming to realize that I am not merely "simple," but actually very complex.

So, join me on my journey to personal development, self love, growth, confidence, and becoming the woman God has created me to be. I pray that those reading this are able to achieve these things and more for themselves, because life is so short, yet so incredibly beautiful.
